It is an explosion of colours, the one that lights up in Piazza Morrone in Lecce, for the open-air show of the Teatro dei Luoghi Fest, curated by Koreja. Elegant stilt-walkers in tailcoats and coloured top hats, extravagant Dixieland brass bands, musicians, acrobats, circus artists and theatrical performers are scattered around the neighbourhood, putting on a real variety of comic gags, live music, acrobatics and theatrical art, enchanting adults and children. This is street theatre making its entrance into the everyday life, creating magic where there used to be a simple crossroads, injecting wonder where, in ordinary times, there is only a square.
