Strade Maestre/ The Great Fright

For Strade Maestre 2023-24, the 27th edition of Koreja's theatre review, Principio Attivo Teatro brings to the stage "Il grande spaventento" by Valentina Diana, directed by Giuseppe Semeraro, with lighting design and music by Vincenzo Dipierro. Dario Cadei, Silvia Lodi, Otto Marco Mercante, Cristina Mileti and Semeraro himself are Gianni, Emilio, Paola, William and Carla, unresolved people in search of healing inside a mysterious holistic meditation centre. The five follow a healing path, a spiritual practice of connecting with the vibrations emitted by plants. The protocol involves two phases: one of energy exchange with the plants and the other of sharing individual experiences under the guidance of a faceless voice. Right at the most beautiful moment, when the group comes together, becoming an opportunity for listening and the possibility of mutual salvation, the Great Fright manifests itself. A shiver of fear, a lightning suspicion, where dream and reality mix and inhumanity takes over in the form of inexorable necessity.
