Story of the stork who couldn't land/ Antonello Taurino

"Storia della cicogna che non sapeva atterrare", written by Lecce actor Antonello Taurino with Carlo Turati, will make its debut on 24 March at the Teatro della Cooperativa in Milan. The Officine Culturali Ergot will host the open rehearsal of this comic show on the ultimate meaning of fatherhood. The theme is one of those delicate and therefore dangerous ones to deal with: fatherhood, the possibility of becoming a father, patriarchy, the misunderstood sense of honour and virility. These are taboos, which are not talked about in the theatre. In fact, not talked about in general. Too many identity issues intertwine, too many cultural legacies loom, too many misconceptions about masculinity, toxic or not, distort the perception of it. And maybe it should be talked about, maybe it would help remove the stigma. And even better, we should laugh about it together.
