Sant'Oronzo. The Festival returns/ The air of the North

The 'Lu Curtigghiu' company, founded in 1996 with the aim of protecting the popular cultural heritage and in particular promoting vernacular theatre, presents 'L'aria del Settentrione', a brilliant comedy in two acts by William Fiorentino, freely adapted from 'L'aria del continente' by Nino Martoglio, as part of the patronal celebrations for Saint Oronzo, Giusto and Fortunato. In two hours, the story unfolds of the unrepentant bachelor Nicola Saliscendi, who falls ill with appendicitis and reaches Milan for surgery. On his return, after six months, he speaks strangely ill of the South and informs his relatives that he has not returned alone. In Milan he met Monica, a beautiful northern girl, with whom he fell in love and decided to marry. This news infuriates his sister Erminia, who sees the opportunity for Nicola to bequeath all his possessions to his children fading away. But it happens that...
