"To be or not to be" for once is not the famous line from William Shakespeare's Hamlet, but the new play by Teatro Koreja in collaboration with Babilonia Teatri. Ubu prizewinner Enrico Castellani and Valeria Raimondi talk about what it means to become a boy and a girl, questioning the cultural and social elements that oversee education in relation to gender. Two actresses, two actors and their bodies as playgrounds give life to images, actions and words, which chase each other, dress up, disguise themselves, and exchange places. On the one hand, the status quo is photographed, i.e. how the masculine and feminine are still separated in an absolutely dichotomous way. On the other, it shows how, by indulging each person's character, sensitivity and uniqueness, the dividing lines inevitably jump. How each of us has infinite possibilities in front of us, how no one is exhausted by the gender to which they belong, how our characteristics, once shaken in a glass, do not result in the X chromosome or the Y chromosome, but in an infinite series of nuances and colours, the one that makes up the world's great palette.
