Living archive floating islands/ Presentation of spaces and activities

Books, documents, videos, films, sets, props. This is the "Living archive Floatings Islands", the living archive that comes to life in the Bernardini Library thanks to the project by the Apulia Region and the Lecce Biblio-museum Pole in collaboration with the Barba Varley Foundation and Teatro Koreja. The memory of the Floatings Islands, the name Barba chose for this "Third Theatre", is an interactive archive-exhibition-installation that preserves and presents thousands of materials and artefacts and gives form, substance and narrative to the 60 years of Eugenio Barba's life and works and his incredible adventure with Odin Teatret as a theatre workshop. The new spaces, adjacent to those already dedicated to Carmelo Bene, are shown and told with a meeting attended by representatives of the Apulia Region, the Ministry of Culture, the Superintendence for Archival and Book Heritage, the Province of Lecce, the Municipality of Lecce, the Municipality of Gallipoli, and the University of Salento. The day continued with "Reality and mirages. What is a living archive?" with talks by Mirella Schino, Annelis Kuhlmann, Francesca Romana Rietti, Valentina Venturini Francesco Ceraolo, Brizia Minerva, Franco Perrelli and Eugenio Barba.
Free entrance.
