Living archive floating islands/ My scene children

"Theatre helps to mediate with the invisible", words of Eugenio Barba. The eight days of work-show demonstrations, meetings and reflections on the newborn "Living Archive" between the Biblioteca Bernardini Library and Cantieri Teatrali Koreja kick off. The project by the Apulia Region and the Lecce biblio-museum, in collaboration with the Barba Varley Foundation and Teatro Koreja, gives form, substance and narrative to the 60 years of the life and works of Eugenio Barba and his incredible adventure with Odin Teatret as a theatre workshop. The memory of the Floatings Islands, the name Barba chose for this "Third Theatre", encompasses that varied culture of theatre groups and networks that have marked the history of theatre since the second half of the 20th century. The first appointment is at the Cantieri Koreja with "I miei bambini di scena". On stage Else Marie Laukvik tells her story as an actress at Odin Teatret, illustrating it with fragments of live scenes and film extracts from the shows: "Ornitofilene", "Kaspariana", "Ferai", "Min Fars Hus", "Come! And the day will be ours", "Anabasis", "The Million", "The Gospel of Oxyrhincus", "Memory".
