Letters to Prospero

The theme of the father is explored, with playwright Walter Prete combining the words of the actors-students of the Accademia mediterranea dell'attore with the grammars of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' to create the play 'Lettere a Prospero'. Serena Sinigaglia's direction, on the other hand, focuses on "the moment in which we cease to exist for the role we embody and we begin to just exist" to tell of a desert island and seven castaways where not only the nourishment of the body but also that of the soul is lacking. On the island there is a shortage of food and feelings, the destination is unknown, but the way forward is through oneself. The performance is staged in the Sala Arte of the Convitto Palmieri and represents the final moment of two years of course, training and actor training.
