Let's meet at the theatre/ Our souls at night

The story is famous: Addie and Louis, widowed men in their seventies, live alone a few metres away from each other, they have known each other for years but they don't see each other, until the day when the woman makes an unsettling proposal to her neighbour: she invites the man to come over and sleep together. There is nothing erotic in the request but the desire to share the nocturnal intimacy of chatting in the dark with someone before giving in to sleep. Based on the novel of the same name by Kent Haruf, published in Italy by NN Editore, "Le nostre anime di notte", a production by Teatro Carcano and Mismaonda, directed by Serena Sinigaglia, is staged at the Apollo Theatre for the theatre season of the Municipality of Lecce and Teatro Pubblico Pugliese. The adaptation is by Emanuele Aldrovandi and on stage are Lella Costa and Elia Schilton. A light story told with grace, of two souls who give each other relief and trust, a balm for those who feel crushed by the world.

To make it easier for families to enjoy the theatre, BLABLABLA organises 'Vengo anche io' (I'm coming too), participatory workshops for boys and girls held in quiet spaces set up for them. Parents and children can thus share, in parallel, the experience of the performance with activities related to the themes of the plays. A mini-performance dedicated to participants aged 4 to 10, ranging from analogue collage to sewing, from light games to training in using kind words to discover one's own emotions. Participation is free of charge with reservation required by calling 320/7087223 (also WhatsApp).

Tickets from 15 to 25 euros. It is possible to buy a suspended ticket that is donated to associations, family homes and social cooperatives for those who cannot afford to go to the theatre.
