Koreja/ Rigenerazioni umane

The evolution of society, economy, culture and urbanism have one main common factor: the people who shape their changes. Here, a special eye is always turned to the suburbs, such as the Borgo Pace district, where Koreja always tried to build a bridge through the power of art and its influence in individual and collective life. "Rigenerazioni umane, dal cuore di Borgo Pace" is a tribute to the neighbourhood: a meeting to tell and share the experiences of a non-suburb between the identity of the place and the need for change. The meeting at the Cantieri teatrali Koreja will be opened by the talk “Rigenerazioni umane” (Human regenerations), with Angelo Salento, lecturer at the University of Salento, Fabiana Cicirillo, councillor for public education, culture and cultural heritage of the Municipality of Lecce, Rita Miglietta, councillor for urban policies and urban regeneration, Alberto Paglialunga, CEO and founder of Deghi S. p.A; Ilaria Florio, from the association Camera a sud, Don Gabriele Morello, parish priest of the church Santa Maria della Pace, Adriano Sergio, president of the association DiVagare and Salvatore Tramacere, artistic director of the Teatro Koreja, as speakers.
This is followed by the performance coming from the Borgo Pace lab, Koreja's permanent urban theatre workshop for the neighbourhood's inhabitants: it is “Mutamenti”, a feminine reflection taken from Ovid's Metamorphoses, curated by Emanuela Pisicchio; the following concert, conceived for voices and guitar, again with Emanuela Pisicchio and Enrico Stefanelli, has the same name.
Throughout the evening, it is possible to enjoy the photographic exhibition by Eduardo De Matteis, who, thanks to his lens, captured glimpses of the neighbourhood, restoring them in a photographic tale, almost as if to testify to the history and evolution of a “living” place, which changes together with those who inhabit it.
Free entrance.
