KIDS/Hamelin

In the German town of Hamelin, along the Senzatamburi street, it is still strictly forbidden to play music and even the processions that arrive cheering immediately stop and put down their instruments. Legend has it that it has been like this since 130 children disappeared without any explanation, as the plaque affixed to the house of the mouse catcher says.
Legend and reality are mixed in the show “Hamelin”, the latest production by Factory Compagnia Transadriatica together with Fondazione Sipario Toscana, which sees Fabio Tinella on stage for the dramaturgy and direction of Tonio De Nitto. The show, within Kids, Festival of theater and arts for the new generations, has its roots in a news story gradually translated into a fairy tale, first in the oral tradition, and in the collection "Germanic sagas" by the Grimm Brothers then but, with all its nuances, the town of Hamelin returns very topical with the fear and darkness caused by the disease brought by mice.
