JUDGE ROSARIO LIVATINO

"I'm running, and they're shooting at me/and I was going to court for another day of toil/to give honour to the State, which has put the judge's robe on me". This is just a fragment of the reading dedicated to Rosario Livatino, the judge from Agrigento killed by the Mafia in 1990 and beatified in May 2021, written by Maria Francesca Mariano, criminal magistrate of the Court of Assizes in Lecce and staged by the company Témenos Recinti Teatrali. A show that attempts to reconstruct, with the help of imagination, some significant fragments of the magistrate's life, which never disregard his spiritual dimension, even in the strategy of fighting the Stidda. Appointment at 9 p.m. at the former Convento dei Teatini in Lecce. Introduced by the Bishop of Lecce, Michele Seccia and Alfredo Mantovano of the Livatino Study Centre.
