Ithaca forever/ Mauro Recanati

As part of "Metti un libro a teatro", a travelling review of theatre and music curated by Ergo Sum with the artistic direction of Alessandra Pizzi, conceived to tell the public about the great classics of literature, the "mise en espace" from the book "Itaca per sempre" by Luigi Malerba is staged. The narration is entrusted to the talented Apulian actor Mauro Racanati, a well-known face in cinema and television, among the protagonists of the last season of "Un posto al sole", the fiction "Nero a metà", the films "Noi siamo Francesco" and "Come un gatto in tangenziale". The story begins from the precise moment when Ulysses returns to Ithaca and the Homeric character traces the extraordinary evolutionary path that transforms him from a hero into a man. Also on stage in support of Racanati are Salento musicians Vito Stefanizzi on keyboards and Domenico Zezza on violin.
