Inside, the theater/ The queen remains

For the review "Inside, the theater," curated by Accademia mediterranea dell'attore, in collaboration with the University of Salento and Dams Salento, inside the Borgo San Nicola Prison, "The Queen Remains" is staged. For a king one dies, while one lives for a queen. Time counts the moments, which pass in waiting. Seconds, days, millennia, are only abstract definitions, juxtaposed with a humanly incomprehensible idea in a necessary system, however arbitrary it may be. In this non-place the protagonists wander bewildered, searching for the ancient treasure now lost, the sovereign mother of a seemingly forgotten feeling. To be a parent is to take responsibility for the begotten creature and the world. Patience is needed, but a mother always remains, despite everything. Directed by Lorenzo Paladini, dramaturgy by Benedetta Pati, original texts and performance by inmate actors Francesco Alfonzetti, Angelo Fago, Giovanni Lupoli and Giovanni Volpe, all four from the Papillon Teatro company.
