IL TEATRO DEI LUOGHI FEST/ Floating islands

We discuss by paradoxes, reasoning about the meaning of historical research through personal events and the understanding of the future through the preservation of what has been in the past. The speakers are Eugenio Barba, founder of Odin Teatret; Loredana Capone, president of the Regional Council and regional councillor of Apulia; Onofrio Cutaia, director general of Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism; Aldo Patruno, director of the Apulia Region's department for tourism, the economy of culture and the enhancement of the territory; Raffaele Pittella, archival and bibliographical superintendent of Puglia; Maria Chiara Provenzano, scientific advisor of the Teatro Koreja archive; Luca Ruzza, architect, researcher in Virtual Scenography at La Sapienza University in Rome; and Salvatore Tramacere, director of Teatro Koreja in the dialogue-meeting "Isole galleggianti: Living archives, memories of theatres and nostalgia for the future", as part of the 16th edition of "Il Teatro dei Luoghi Fest", the summer festival of Cantieri Teatrali Koreja. If it is true that people are archives in the flesh, it is equally true that only the confrontation with others, other histories and other "archives" nourishes that shared knowledge that deserves to find space in a futuristic and future memory. The dialogue will be coordinated by Luigi del Luca, director of the Apulia Region's Bibliographic Museums Pole.
