Highways/ Purgatory of Poets

It is the day of the public return of Koreja's series of meetings for participatory theatre. "Purgatorio dei poeti" (Purgatory of the poets) is the performance resulting from a real choral action curated by Marco Martinelli, who in the previous days called together citizens of all ages to fathom "The universality of Dante's tale", but through the common experience of being lost. "Dante takes us by the hand and whispers 'I too a pilgrim, I too an exile, I too lost along the way, like you'. Experiences, stories, testimonies of the participants become interpretations on stage, where theatre is a ferryman from darkness to light also in the company of Emily Dickinson, Vladimir Majakovsky, Walt Withman and other poets from the constellation of the 'Purgatory of Poets'.
