HERE IF EVER YOU COME/ the Salento of poets

It is a verse by the Gallipolino poet Vittore Fiore that gives the name to the event organised by the Fondo Verri. Words that evoke the journey and the traveller who, in order to touch the Salento, must come here on purpose, to this strip of land that cannot be a passageway, a south "poised between us and the world".
On the calendar, from July to October, ten poetry and music recitals will be held in the courtyard of the former Sant'Anna conservatory in the presence of the fairy-tale magnolia ficus, as part of the initiatives promoted for Summer 2022 by the municipal administration.
A journey through twentieth-century poetry that gives back the word to Salento poets and accompanies it with music by artists who are also from Salento, presented to the public in the courtyard of the former conservatory accessed from Via Libertini, in the presence of councillors Fabiana Cicirillo (Culture and Cultural Heritage) and Paolo Foresio (Entertainment and Tourism). The evening also features speeches by Simone Giorgino and Mauro Marino, readings by Gianni Minerva, Piero Rapanà and Simone Franco, accompanied by Claudio Prima's accordion, Redi Hasa's cello, Daria Falco's songs, Roberto Gagliardi's sax, and Giorgia Santoro's flutes. Organisation, curatorship and literary consultancy by Mauro Marino, Simone Giorgino and Piero Rapanà.
Free entrance.
