Heaven

Heaven

The social and student movements of the 1970s as seen through the eyes of Milena, a young militant from Salento who lived during that era and died under tragic circumstances. Ura Teatro, a cultural association founded in 2015 by the artistic partnership of Fabrizio Saccomanno and Fabrizio Pugliese, brings to the stage "Heaven," a work commissioned by the social cooperative Arci Lecce Solidarietà, which traces the social struggles of those years through the commitment of a girl who was preparing to live out her youth in the climate of student and workers' revolts in 1970s Lecce.

The work stems precisely from Milena's own memories, left in her diaries, which restore the lightness and strength of an adolescence meeting the power of a revolutionary movement that marked an era. "Heaven" is a performance by Fabrizio Pugliese, Fabrizio Saccomanno and Marta Trevisi, with Marta Trevisi, directed by Fabrizio Saccomanno, organized by Laura Scorrano, with the participation of refugees from the SAI reception projects of Galatina, Lequile and Trepuzzi, managed by the social cooperative Arci Lecce Solidarietà.

The event is part of the initiatives promoted by Arci Lecce Solidarity on the occasion of World Refugee Day.
