"A Christmas Carol" is the classic show that accompanies young and old alike to Christmas. The musical brought to the stage by the Bit Company tells the celebrated story of Ebenezer Scrooge, who makes a transformation, a major change, on Christmas Eve. Old Scrooge, after the death of his partner Jacob Marley, continues to run his business bank with cynical avarice, shunning all human relations and keeping his hapless employee Bob Cratchit in misery. Scrooge detests Christmas, and not even his nephew's invitation to dinner can change his mind. On Christmas Eve, however, he receives a visit from the ghost of his late partner Marley, who announces that of three spirits. The spirit of Christmases past shows him the mistakes of his past life, the spirit of Christmas present shows him the happiness this holiday generates in people, and the spirit of Christmases to come shows him his horrendous fate if he does not change his lifestyle. Christmas thus becomes an opportunity to stop and reflect, an opportunity for a courageous act of transformation.
