It is a reinterpretation set in the present day that Giorgio Marchesi and Simonetta Solder make of 'Il fu Mattia Pascal' on stage, possible and effective precisely because of the greatness and topicality of Pirandello's text. The novel's protagonist thus traverses not only the 1930s, but the entire 20th century, with its immense changes, right up to the 'masks' constituted today by our thousand social profiles. Special attention is given to the 'rebirth', the return to everyday life after the upheaval of the pandemic years. On stage is Marchesi himself together with Raffaele Toninelli, who is entrusted with the music for the 54th season of the Camerata Musicale Salentina.
