Altre latitudini/ Preghiera del mattino

Giving voice to the almost invisible women throughout the Old Testament. This is Valentina Diana's message in “Preghiera del Mattino”, inspired by the Jewish ritual of daily thanksgiving that man makes to God for sparing him from being born a woman. "The woman in the Old Testament often does not even have a name and suffers wrongs or violence that are referred to without dwelling too much on them, as incidental or inevitable facts," explains the playwright. Directed by Silvia Lodi and Giuseppe Semeraro, the Manifatture Knos stage will try to illuminate the dark stories of millenary violence that are too often forgotten. The show is part of the autumn review "Altre latitudini”, organised by Principio attivo teatro association thanks to the support of the Regione Puglia and the Ministry of Culture, and with the collaboration of the Polo Biblio Museale di Lecce. Four performances for four Sundays that will accompany the spectators into the heart of winter, through contemporary theatre.
