"Beauty is a prize for those who know how to cultivate it, not a right for those who can buy it" is the subtext of "Memorie d'Arneo", written and performed by Fabrizio Saccomanno and Fabrizio Pugliese. The show by the Ura Teatro company opens the doors of the Manifatture Knos for the first of the four performances in the sign of contemporary theatre of "Altre latitudini", a theatrical festival conceived and organised by the Principio attivo teatro association, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Regione Puglia in collaboration with the Polo Biblio Museale di Lecce. Accompanied by cellist Marco Schiavone on the music of Redi Hasa, the show recounts the time when the beauty of the land of Arneo, represented dreams and hopes for those who every day, with hands hardened by fatigue, saw in the exterminated fields a way out of misery, through an exercise of care that, after the horrors of war, meant rebirth.
