Altre latitudini/ Amleto

The tragedy is over, the stage is deserted. Hamlet observes the absence of the characters in his story, forced into solitude. The atmosphere is dramatic and at the same time comic as the protagonist, his face covered in white lead and his lips red, tries to force a dialogue destined to remain a soliloquy with a caricatured flavour. Only the ghost of his father brings him up to speed; the rest is made up of a circle of empty chairs that amplifies the Shakespearian hero's sense of desolation. "Hamlet", a reinterpretation of the timeless Shakespearian tragedy, is written and staged by Michele Sinisi, with the production of Elsinor and Progetto Farsa, host of the Manifatture Knos stage for the closing of the cycle "Altre latitudini", a series of four autumn shows organised by Principio attivo teatro thanks to the support of the Regione Puglia and the Ministry of Culture, and with the collaboration of the Polo Biblio Museale of Lecce.
