Sunday, July 19, 1992. At the height of house number 19 on Via Mariano D'Amelio in Palermo, Paolo Borsellino and five escort agents lost their lives as a result of a bomb explosion. The Mafia had declared war on the state, and the images of that day are now etched in the country's collective memory. Thirty years later, the wound is more open than ever, and actress and director Sara Bevilacqua recounts it in the show "La stanza di Agnese," a Meridiani Perduti Teatro production, where we look at that tragedy from the point of view of the magistrate's wife, a woman who lived that tragic and devastating Italian season on her own skin. The event at the Apollo Theater is organized by the National Association of Magistrates, Lecce district section.
