Spring beers

In the Tagghiate Urban Factory park on Ferrari Street, Birre di Primavera (Spring Beers) returns, the third edition of the festival dedicated to the art of beer, organized by the historic Lecce brewery Bluebeat Pub in collaboration with the cultural association Oikos Sostenibile.

Between street food, concerts and entertainment for children, the city becomes a destination for curious and craft beer enthusiasts. During the event, hosted between the upper part of the park and the striking Lecce stone quarry, it is possible to taste more than a hundred beers ranging from spontaneous fermentations to English, German, Belgian and American-style beers.

On the last day of the festival, the park opens at 11 a.m. At 12 noon there is a free juggling show by Lillo Birillo for young and old, followed by the opening of the brewery booths and "Family Lunch" with a traditional menu by the Tagghiate Urban Factory food court.

Great anticipation for Jean Van Roy of the historic Cantillon Brewery, active since 1900 and led by the same family for five generations. From 6 p.m. appointment with "The Magical World of Cantillon and Lambic" with a special tasting of Cantillon's most famous beers, some even unobtainable, including Geuze 2010, Lou Pepe Kriek and La Vie est Belge, led by beer taster Andrea Camaschella and Jean himself.

This will be followed by the dynamic duo "Horse and Uncle," DJ sets Funky and Soul, and at 8 p.m. Cagliari's South Sardinian Scum with their overwhelming Wild Rock'n'Roll.

Admission to the festival is free and free of charge.

For beer tastings the cost is 5 euros, which includes bag, screen-printed glass and beer guide.
