Hands and listening/Alberto Rescio, Marco Rollo

"Encounters with the Piano Between Words and Music," is the subtitle of the 22nd edition of "Hands and Listening" curated by the Verri Fund. Encounters between words and sounds, hosting writers, poets and musicians. At 7 p.m. young writer Alberto Rescio presents his novel "Vacanze di un corsaro," Besa Editions. In 1521 Piri Re'is, the privateer cartographer of Suleiman the Magnificent, is shipwrecked on the coast of Salento along with his most loyal men. With few means and in enemy territory, the captain encounters many dangers on his way, but also an old friend, a bewitching sorceress, a young scholar and a fearful baron. He dialogues with the author Luigi Grasso. Around 8 p.m. a concert by the Marco Rollo Trio is scheduled. "One night in this terribly dark year, I felt the need to return to the roots," are the words of the composer and pianist. "Sitting at the piano, I began to tell myself, to paint the colors that the vibrations of the piano strings transmitted to me."
