Tutti Solo/ Maria Moramarco

A special date in Giorgia Santoro's 'Tutti Solo' musical review, exceptionally scheduled for Sunday. The protagonist of 'Stella ariènte' is the voice of Maria Moramarco, who has always been involved in the work of recovering the oral tradition of Bari's Alta Murgia. In the spaces of the Fondo Verri, she interprets a lesser-known but equally evocative repertoire as 'song of the spirit': devotional lyrics, liturgical songs, archaic prayers and ancestral litanies. The exceptional vocal skills of the Altamura 'cantora' are exalted in the revival of singing methods that have now disappeared, vocal techniques of a culture that has never been codified and yet is very present in this interesting yet unexplored repertoire. Maria, while keeping faith with her scrupulous philological research, succeeds in establishing a relationship of great spiritual fascination with the audience, thanks to her particularity in 'singing the voice'. Accompanying Maria Moramarco's prodigious instrument are Luigi Bolognese's guitars, Alessandro Pipino's accordion, accordion and harmonium, and Adolfo La Volpe's jumbush and Portuguese guitar.
