It is inspired by the book "Alchimia dell'istante. Riflessioni e paradossi di un improvisatore" by pianist Gianni Lenoci, Giuliano Di Cesare's live performance "Pure imagination", for the exhibition curated by Giorgia Santoro "Tutti Solo" in the spaces of the Fondo Verri. In an hour of pure imagination Di Cesare, designer and builder of special trumpets capable of blending sounds and colours, is the protagonist of a unique performance in which he leaves his mark on one or more canvases. His suggestions live on the alchemy of the instant, which motivates and feeds the traces of colour. The sound captures the images and colours on the canvas, which in turn evoke melodies and impromptu music. Everything comes to life from the ability to relate what is heard and what is dictated by the action, i.e. a sound, a response, a sign, a voice, a beat, a note, a silence, a melody, a splash of colour, a cry, a word. The ability to listen, in improvisation and in the dynamics of improvised music, is the only way to create something unique and unrepeatable during a concert or a performance.
