To Demeter

Riccardo Lanzarone and Giorgia Santoro, in the performance "To Demeter. Homeric Hymn", recount in music at the Fondo Verri the myth of Persephone, daughter of the goddess Demeter, who was abducted by Hades. The mother's despair was so great that she was punished by the Earth itself, condemning her to no more fruit. Persephone was freed, but every six months she had to return to the underworld and so the long, cold winter was born. The event is part of the series "Tutti solo" curated by Giorgia Santoro.
