Tito Schipa music factory/ Jazz Factory

How could Disney cartoon songs be jazzed up? The operation is by no means new if one thinks of the different interpretations of "Someday my prince will come," from 1930's Snow White, taken up by Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock or trumpeter Miles Davis. Students of the "Tito Schipa" conservatory, for the festival in collaboration with the Tito Schipa music factory, offer a repertoire that spans in music about a century of history, from 1930 to 2009. The second part is a tribute to one of the cornerstones of the entire Jazz repertoire: Duke Ellington. A journey in notes that starts from his compositions until he was band leader, moving from his early masterpieces at the Cotton Club to the impressionistic and sonorous style of his maturity.
