Teatini in Music/ BeDixie

Puffing locomotives, half-empty bottles, seasoned tobacco and the instrument always at your side in search of the spirit of Louisiana. They are the BeDixie, Salento's wildest dixieland jazz band coming to the cloister of the former convent of the Teatini for the third event curated by the Camerata musicale salentina. Leading the audience into 1920s New Orleans are four woodwinds, a drum set and a banjo, beating the paths of early jazz to swing, flying through time and world music to Balkan fanfares. A show in "dixieland uniform," a show on stage, irresistible and enthralling.
