The Songbook of Lucio Battisti/ Lato B and Roberto Angelini

No more concerts, no more singing and playing live. This was the drastic decision taken by Lucio Battisti in 1970, at the height of his success. What if a band of today were to start right from there, singing and playing live the unforgettable hits of the singer-songwriter from Poggio Bustone? What if four indie musicians had fun reinterpreting, through their own backgrounds, Battisti's classics that have by now entered by right into the collective imagination of Italians? The answer to these questions is 'Il canzoniere di Lucio Battisti', a project by Lato B, alias Leo Pari (voice, acoustic guitar, piano), Gianluca De Rubertis (voice, bass, piano), Dario Ciffo (voice, electric guitar) and Lino Gitto (drums). With them on stage is singer-songwriter and producer Roberto Angelini (vocals and guitar). The tribute to the singer who passed away in 1998, who would have been 81 years old on 5 March, is a concert lasting over two hours, to sing together immortal songs such as "Ancora tu", "Con il nastro rosa", "Il tempo di morire", "Mi ritorni in mente", "Il mio canto libero", "Pensieri e parole", "E penso a te".
