The Harmonium of the Poor/ Daniele Di Bonaventura

Fundamental in tango orchestras, the Bandoneon, a particular type of accordion, in the hands of Daniele Di Bonaventura seems to transform itself, as if for fun, into a mouth-organ or church organ. The musician from the Marche region, considered one of the most original and creative bandoneonists in the world, is the guest of Nasca's spaces with 'L'Harmonium dei poveri-Bandoneon solo', a concert organised by the cultural association Good Vibes Musica Cultura Ambiente and under the artistic direction of Marco Bardoscia. Di Bonaventura's music is a marvellously serious and at the same time extraordinarily playful mixture of classical music and jazz, rigorous in composition and structure yet unpredictable in improvisation and freedom of execution, and refers in particular to Mediterranean melodic traditions and South American music. The concert will also be framed by Sergio Limongelli's photographic exhibition 'Ro-Mantici', with shots from jazz concerts, with accordion, bandoneon et similia as the theme.
