TARANTA NIGHT FESTIVAL

The Festival La Notte della Taranta makes a stop in Lecce. And it's always one of the most popular times in the city which, for this edition, gives up the central squares of the Baroque and welcomes the stage in the suburbs, in the square of the parish of San Giovanni Battista. The stage will be dedicated to the traditional, popular music of the La Notte della Taranta Orchestra, with a repertoire that touches on all the experimental sounds proposed by the festival's various concertmasters. The opening is for Enzo Petrachi, a singer who has inherited the repertoire of songs from his father Bruno, the unforgettable composer and interpreter of the most famous folk songs from Lecce, which are back in vogue more than ever.
