St Martin at the Market

Shopping to the rhythm of music. It is "San Martino al Mercato", the covered ones at Porta Rudiae and Settelacquare, a place not only for shopping but, perhaps, also and above all, for socialising. One buys and sells but also meets and chats with the greengrocer, the butcher, the baker and those in line for roast chicken. On Friday 10 and Saturday 11, from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., the two city markets are enlivened by musical accompaniment from live and DJ sets.

On Friday, Porta Rudiae hosts Andy Cat with his stornelli leccesi, while at Settelacquare there is a live performance by Quelli degli anni 60-70-80 with Salvatore Pandarese, Elio Casteluzzo, and Mimmo Romito. With them DJs Frank Lucignolo, Sandro Crash, Kika dj and Carlo Toma will perform super vintage selections. The event, organised by the Municipality, is realised with the collaboration of the Region and Lobello Records.
