Salento Organ Festival/ Andrea Mancinanti

Closing the autumn stages of the ninth edition of the Salento Organ Festival is the concert by organist Andrea Mancinanti, professor of organ at the Martini Conservatory in Bologna. Having graduated in organ, harpsichord and singing from the Conservatories of Bologna and Parma and perfected his skills with Klemens Schnorr in Munich, Maestro Mancinanti is a member of the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna and since 1988 the artistic director of the international concert series 'Ancient Organs, a heritage to listen to'. His programme today is a fascinating musical journey through organ literature, starting with the work of the world-famous Johann Sebastian Bach, one of the most representative composers of organ music, and moving on to the 19th and 20th century music of Marco Enrico Bossi, César Franck, Costante Adolfo Bossi and Giuseppe Mule.
