Salento Organ Festival/Alessio Corti

The pipes of the oldest organs in our territory vibrate, thanks to the ninth edition of the Salento Organ Festival, organised by the J. S. Bach Institute of Musical Culture in Tricase, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Apulia Region and the patronage of the Tito Schipa Conservatory, UniSalento, and the dioceses of the provinces of Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto. A true heritage, that of Salento's historical organs, enhanced by the event under the artistic direction of maestro Francesco Scarcella. Organist Alessio Corti is the protagonist of the concert dedicated to the German organ school, from Johann Sebastian Bach to Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, from Johannes Brahms to Max Reger. A versatile interpreter of a vast repertoire, Maestro Corti has been the organist of the church of Santa Maria Segreta in Milan since 1983, and since 1991 he has also been the titular organist of the Protestant Christian church in Milan.
