Ròme! Sounds, words, drums of the Rom culture

The world day of Rom, Sinti and travelers is celebrated on 8 April but in Astràgali it is staged a few days earlier with "Rome! Sounds, words, drums of the Rom culture", a show-concert on songs and narrations of Rom culture curated by Astràgali Teatro and Claudio Cavallo Giagnotti, leader of the Mascarimirì. Cavalli's music is intertwined with the words of Fabio Tolledi and the images projected on the background of the documentary shot among the Rom families of Salento. "From 2008 until today we have collected images, videos, emotions, tales of extraordinary people who have made history without being mentioned in history", says the musician, bringing to the fore the strength and suggestions of the culture of a people often harassed and victim of prejudice.
