ricostruiAMO/ Orphics

The 'Orphics' project is presented for the music and theatre review 'ricostruiAMO'. This is a new formation, whose elements come from different musical experiences and genres: Francesco Spedicato (vocals and historical research), Luca Basile (cello, effects and composition), Nicolò Gambino (guitars, effects and composition) and the young and talented singer Laura Cassone, making her debut in the band. The productions are characterised by a skilful mix of electronics and tradition. In an actuality of difficult passages and transformations with an uncertain outcome (such as orphism in ancient Greece), the musical project engages souls in a ritual of experimental harmonies, leading them to reflect on the theme of moral and spiritual life. After a passionate search in tradition, Orphics arrives at productions contaminated by electronic music, reworking the rarest pearls of the Apulian folk repertoire in a modern guise. The group, currently engaged in the recording of their eponymous album, is open to the contribution of other artists, with the intention of enriching their sound.
