Rami e Bassam/ Recital

"Far beyond right and wrong, there is a field, I will wait for you there": the words are from the 13th century poet al-Din Rumi and 'that field' so difficult to reach, Rami and Bassam know it well. Rami lost his 13-year-old daughter in a terrorist attack, Bassam lost his 10-year-old daughter killed by an Israeli soldier. Their grief did not become hatred but united them in the Parents Circle association of Israelis and Arabs bereaved by a war that has lasted over 70 years. Their story has travelled the world and become a recital in the Jewish Museum. The Arab and Hebrew notes of Gianluca Milanese's flutes, bansuri and chalumeau are accompanied by the reciting voice of Donato Chiarello.
