Pierluigi Balducci/ Kosmos & Chaos 

Aiming to rediscover the roots of melody in the jazz texture, the "Kosmos & Chaos" project of Bari bassist Pierluigi Balducci, in concert with his quintet at Ippolito Chiarello's Nasca Theater (at 28 Siracusa Street) for the musical season of the Good Vibes association - music culture environment under the artistic direction of Marco Bardoscia. The evening's declination in a melodic key is not an abjuration of traditional jazz, of which the most overwhelming rhythms and the energy of the most reckless solos and phrasing are emphasized. The idea is to focus on the jazz practice of music making as a metaphor for life itself: dialogue, improvisation, flow of energy, a continuous process of tension and relaxation, order and disorder, anticipation and surprise. The five musicians perform original pieces for much of the performance. As composers linked to their respective identities and the Latin soul that characterizes them all, they express themselves with deep love for Italian melody, European and Mediterranean harmonies and folklore.
