Picnic Experience/ Music and Performance

For Tuesdays at Rudiae Archaeological Park with Picnic Experience, the appointment is with "Music and Performance," a performative action for music and dance by Giorgio Distante and Barbara Toma with artistic direction by Giorgia Santoro and Mauro Tre. The musician originally from Cisternino offers refined sounds through Hy.E.T. (Hybrid Electronic Trumpet), an electroacoustic instrument of his own invention, a hybrid between a trumpet and a synthesizer. The sounds of Distante are married to the elegant body movements of Barbara Toma. The Lecce dancer and choreographer in the field of improvisation boasts collaborations with musicians such as William Parker, Matthew Shipp, Luca Venitucci, Fabrizio Puglisi, Jeroen Kimman, Eugenio Sanna, and Michael Vatcher. A DJ set by Herr Spiegelhauer is scheduled at the end of the art performance.
