PIANO CITY LECCE/Preludio

The first edition of Piano City is an "infinite keyboard" that winds its way through the streets of Lecce. Squares, palaces and some of the most beautiful monuments will be the backdrop for the pianos scattered in different points of the city's historic centre.

From classical to jazz, from pop to contemporary, almost twenty pianists will perform in solo piano concerts throughout the day. It starts at 4 p.m. in Piazzetta Falconieri where the protagonists of "Piano City educational" will play the piano: Pierluca Danilo Longo (Scuola Media Ascanio Grandi), Martina Vaglio (Liceo Musicale Giuseppe Palmieri), Sofia Cirignaco (Liceo Musicale Giuseppe Palmieri), Francesco Leccese (Conservatorio Tito Schipa), Maria Giulia Monteduro (Conservatorio Tito Schipa).

At 5.50 p.m., the repertoire shifts from classical to contemporary with movie's music by Luca Alemagna, followed by original compositions by Carmine Padula (6.50 p.m.) and Marco Rollo (7.20 p.m.).
