Piano city Lecce/ Francesco Tristano

“Whether it is high music or mass music”, the pianist Francesco Tristano writes in his biography, “music is part of the same river of sound: universal, one and indivisible”. Born and trained in classical studies in Luxembourg, he arrives soon in New York, where he discovers and embraces electronic music. His creations are in fact a constant experimentation in which classical is only the starting point. The gates of Torre del Parco open for him, in the Piano city Lecce review, organized by the Icona radio visual group of Alessandro Maria Polito, under the artistic direction of Andrea Mariano (producer and keyboardist of Negramaro). Opening, the Cucina Sonora project, born in 2014 from an idea of the pianist Pietro Spinelli. Thanks also to the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Province of Lecce and the University of Salento, the initiative, in its second edition, offers an itinerant musical journey to rediscover places in the city.
