Oversound music festival/ Articolo 31

After the Sanremo reunion, Articolo 31 are back on tour on the Oversound music festival stage. Disbanded in 2006, they appeared at the national festival in February with 'Un bel viaggio', their first unreleased song after almost 20 years. Alessandro Aleotti (1972, J-Ax) and Vito Luca Perrini (1966, DJ Jad) are both from Milan, the former a rapper, the latter a disc jockey and breakdancer. They met in 1990 and decided to found a hip hop group. The name Article 31 refers to Section 31 of the Broadcasting Authority Act, enacted by the Irish Parliament in 1976 following the riots in Northern Ireland, which reserves access to the media to authorised political parties, constituting a serious threat to freedom of thought. Undisputed protagonists of the golden age of Italian rap, having passed through funk, reggae and rock sounds, they return to sing together with their fans all the songs that made them famous, presenting their new musical productions in a rap'n'roll concert. With their enthralling energy, pressing musical backing tracks and meaningful lyrics, they continue to recount the life, love and experiences of their generation.
