OLES/ Year-end concert

Seventy-five minutes dense with famous notes, featuring the best-known arias from Gioachino Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia" and "La gazza ladra," "La Traviata" and Giuseppe Verdi's "La forza del destino." "Tosca," "Turandot" and "Manon Lescaut" by Giacomo Puccini, "The Merry Widow" by Franz Lehár, the famous waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss son, and, to conclude, "The Radetzky March" by Johann Strauss father. It is the traditional "End of the Year Concert," performed by the Lecce and Salento Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the baton of Colombian maestro Felipe Aguirre, with the participation of soprano Luciana Distante and tenor Roberto Cervellera. At the end of the performance, the orchestra meets the audience to wish those present a happy new year with a cheerful toast.
