OLES/ Rachele Stanisci, Paride Cataldo

The music of the OLES, Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce e del Salento, interrupted by the pandemic months, returns to fill Lecce's most beautiful theatres and churches. A rich symphonic opera programme performed by the orchestra accompanying internationally renowned performers. It opens at the Apollo Theatre, which hosts on stage Rachele Stanisci, a soprano of Brindisi origin who has performed in the most important European theatres, and the young tenor Paride Cataldo, conducted by maestro Giovanni Rinaldi. The singers are engaged in arias and duets alternating with symphonies and intermezzos from the most famous operas by 19th and 20th century composers: Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Gioacchino Rossini, Pietro Mascagni, Vincenzo Bellini, but also the American composer George Gershwin.
