New Year's concert with the Zaporoshye Symphony Orchestra

The Camerata Musicale Salentina welcomes the new year with the usual New Year's Concert and welcomes the Kharkiv Symphony Orchestra, the historic Ukrainian symphony orchestra, conducted for the occasion by Yuri Yakovenko. The musical team, which is over a hundred years old, became a leading group within the Ukrainian Radio and Television Committee in October 1929 and after the founding of the Kharkiv Philharmonic Society was granted official philharmonic status. And as in the best tradition, the lineup offers the classic waltzes and polkas of the most beautiful Viennese New Year's concerts. The program ranges from Strauss's "Emperor's Waltz" to Tchajkovskij's "Swan Lake", from the overture of the "Barber of Seville" to Offenbach's "Orpheus in Hell".
