Not only Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino. Mauro Durante has devoted his life to the ensemble founded by his parents Daniele and Rossella Pinto some fifty years ago and of which he has been leader since 2007. But this time the Salento musician is going solo (premiere) with the concert 'La voce toa'. Thanks to Giorgia Santoro, artistic director of the 'Tutti Solo' festival, who managed to have him perform solo at the Fondo Verri. Mauro tells his story through the violin, drums, voice, his songs and those of his father. He has taken up Daniele Durante's legacy, continuing to translate into music the essence of Salento, which makes its local identity a global invitation to meet and share. A place of borders and contaminations, where both archaic slowness and modern acceleration find their place, along with all the incongruities of the globalised world. As in Mauro Durante's musical project, which is constantly evolving between the tradition of its origins and the changes of contemporaneity.
