Lecce at the theatre/ Elio

It is a tribute to Enzo Jannacci that Elio pays from the Apollo stage with "Ci vuole orecchio". The show, part of the "Lecce a teatro" review organised by AR live, proceeds on the tracks of song and acting, reinterpreting words and music by the "poetastro". Although the artistic verve of the two do not coincide, it is the surreal narrative, that vein of eccentric freedom, the taste for paradox that unites the two artists. "Ci vuole orecchio is not a homage,' says Elio, 'but a reconstruction of his world of nonsense, comic and poignant. It is a journey through Jannacci's eras, because he was not always the same'. Supported by five musicians and the direction and dramaturgy of Giorgio Gallione, Elio moves from "La luna è una lampadina" to "L'Armando" to "El purtava i scarp del tennis" and the lesser-known songs that plumb the depths of the human soul: "Parlare con i limoni", "Quando il sipario calerà". Drama and laughter, all the world of Jannacci, able like few to recount the distortions of a country like ours.
